Bush in more hot water with moderates

Sometime this week, there was a private White House meeting between Bush and GOP moderates in Congress. These "moderates" told Bush that if he didn't make "marked gains" in Iraq by the fall, more Republicans would desert him. Yet, they've stated that for now, they'll continue to stand with him against recurring Democratic challenges to the war. The first part is all well and good, but how moderate can this group be if they're willing to stand with a total reactionary like Bush on this failed war?

An interesting part is where one representative told Bush that his approval rating (Bush's) in the guy's district was around 5 PERCENT. Ouch!
