Army foresees conflicts over oil and globalization
This is a short article from the U.S. Army's website. It's a pretty standard article in which the Army's chief of staff is talking about the Army adapting for the future. But something I found interesting was when Casey referred to a world in the future that'll be in "persistent conflict" due to impacts like "globalization, competition for energy...(and) climate change". Now, I'm sure this isn't news to most of you, the fall of the availability of oil & global warming is going to make this world a tough place to live in future generations, but I find it noteworthy that the U.S. Army is openly admitting this.
