Cheney tries to shut down agency

What else is there to say about Dick Cheney? The latest from this Times article is that he doesn't feel as if he has to submit classified documents to the National Archives, although virtually every other agency within the government, including the executive branch, does. So he's refused and even had his office block an on-site inspection by the National Archives. On top of that, the justification Cheney comes up with is perhaps the most lame-ass excuse in the history of government. He says that since the office of the vice president is part of the legislative branch (since he's the president of the Senate) as well as the executive, that the rules of reporting documents doesn't apply to him. But wait, I'm not done. Not only did he block an inspection, while making up said lame-ass excuse to justify it, he even proposed abolishing the agency! Now, I know I'm not the first one to say this, but damn, who in the heck does this guy think he is? He must have some serious skeletons in his vice-presidential closet.
